Optima is a sans serif font designed in the 1950s by one of the twentieth century's geniuses of typography, Hermann Zapf. It's an elegant font, modern and yet classic in appearance. Optima is unusual among sans serif fonts because it keeps the stroke-weight variations more commonly found in serif fonts.
